San Mateo Citizens for a Safe Environment

The City of San Mateo is drafting regulations that will allow the telecoms to easily install a cell tower on a utility pole in your backyard.  Now is the time to rise up and have your opinions heard.  Write City Counsel to demand a strict ordinance.  Residents should receive notice that a cell tower is being installed on their private property!!  Residents have rights!!

Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Bruno, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Petaluma, Ross and many other cities have successfully denied cell towers in residential neighborhoods.

SURPRISE -- 4G/5G CELL TOWERS CAN EASILY BE LOCATED FAR FROM HOMES AND SCHOOLS -- 3,000 FEET!!

Verizon has admitted that the LEAST INTRUSIVE MEANS to close a Significant Gap in wireless coverage is to install 4G/5G WTFs on macro towers that are 3,000 feet away from residences. Watch the video below and note that Lowell McAdam, Verizon's CEO states that, "We are now designing the network for over 2,000 feet from transmitter to receiver, which has a huge impact on our capital need going forward." Furthermore, Jason L., a Verizon Field Engineer, clearly states that at "3,000 feet away, we’re still getting 1,000 [Megabits per second] speeds . . . so now we’ve driven about 1/3 of a mile away [1,760 feet] from the radio node." Looks like the joke is on families and residential neighborhoods because the telecoms would rather make a quick profit and subject us to needless, excess radiation.
